How to create a map

⚠️ This article is outdated, we are working to update it as soon as possible. Please contact us at support@notionmaps.com if you have any issues.

In a previous article, we learned that you have to check the columns before you can create a map. It is also recommended that you have at least one row in your database, in order to see the final outcome.

In the "My maps" section, we can go to the "Create map" section.

step1

When we first enter the section, we will see a form where we have to enter a name for our map and the database associated with it.

step2

If you do not see any databases, you may need to check your connection to Notion.

If you don't see a database you recently created, try reconnecting with Notion first; the page may not have been approved on the first connection.

💡 You can also grant us access to databases using the "Share" button. In this article, we will explain how to grant access from the Notion UI.

Once you have entered a name and chosen your database, click the "Create" button. This button will create your map and process it. Depending on the number of rows and columns in your database, this process may take some time.

step3

When our map has been created, a success message will appear, along with the number of rows processed.
